Here’s a free SVG file I made to share -it’s a simple but pretty bird ornament. The bird is a blank canvas, you could leave it plain for a simple look, or embellish it with glitter or doodles if you like. It’s easy enough for kids to assemble after the pieces have been cut, too! This bird is based on a vintage home crafts design. My mom used to work at the Littleton Historical Museum, which is a living history museum in Littleton, CO. They have two farms on the property, an 1890′s farm and an 1860′s farm. Every year for Christmas, they decorate the houses in the manner that was historically accurate for that time. In the 90′s house, the Interpreters would make these little birds by hand based on a historical pattern. Theirs just sat on the tree branches, but I made mine with a hole for a ribbon so they can be hung, too. Anywhoo, here’s the file -
